Reports claim Queen Elizabeth II broke a particular tradition during giving birth to her four children several years ago. A royal historian said Her Majesty didn't follow a royal protocol, wherein she didn't have a senior politician standing outside the room to serve as a witness while she was giving birth. The Queen's father, King George VI, reportedly put an end on this tradition years later.

Kate Williams, a royal historian, revealed this news to Channel 5 News after rumors emerged Meghan Markle "snubbed" Queen Elizabeth. Then Duchess of Sussex reportedly refused to hire the team of doctors of Her Majesty for the birth of her baby. The royal historian claims the former Suits actress isn't the first one doing her way during pregnancy.

Williams said that when Queen Elizabeth gave birth at the Buckingham Palace, which is a home birth and a caesarian section, there are no witnesses outside the room. Reports say one of the important matters at that time is that there should be a witness outside the room while giving birth - either by Prime Ministers or Home Secretaries.

That is a royal protocol; there should always be a senior politician witnessing a royal giving birth. However, Queen Elizabeth's father reportedly said no to this tradition and eventually put an end on this year later.

The royal historian also discussed that when Prince William and Prince Harry were born, their mother Princess Diana was the first member of the royal family who gave birth at the hospital. There were several talks about the late Princess of Wales' decision years ago.

And when Prince William's wife Kate Middleton chose to give birth at the hospital, the news came no surprise to most of the royal fans. Williams said the truth is that many of the royal women didn't break traditions, but they only make their own choices and decides what they want to do.

For instance, Queen Elizabeth was not even born in a royal palace; she was reportedly born at the house of her mother's parents in London. The royal historian noted that was the decision of the Queen Mother.

Meanwhile, there were no further details about Markle's baby's birth, though some rumors were claiming the Duchess of Sussex will not give birth at the St. Mary's Hospital's Lindo Wing. The former actress is due to welcome their first child this month. Currently, she is staying out of the spotlight since she's preparing her body for the upcoming birth of her child.
