After the arrest of Hwang Hana, many have speculated, who was the "celebrity" she was referring to on her statements. Hwang Hana's case was re-opened following the recent investigations connecting her in the sharing of illegal hidden camera videos in a KakaoTalk chat with friends. The granddaughter of Namyang Dairy Founder was also under investigation for allegedly supplying 0.5 grams of meth to a certain 'A' in September of 2015.
Because of her inattentiveness to court demands of surrendering herself, Hwang Hana was arrested on the afternoon of April 4. Together with that, she has been accusing a certain celebrity of offering or pushing her to take drugs ever since. With a growing need to clear his side as he has been the well-known ex-boyfriend, JYJ's Yoochun made a statement in the afternoon of April 10 at the Japanese Apricot Hall on the 19th floor of the Press Center.
Park Yoochun was the celebrity 'A' Hwang Hana was referring to although, his identity was not revealed by the authorities until he was ready to answer the allegations. His agency, C-JeS Entertainment initially released Yoochun's decision to make an official statement through a press conference and scheduled it for April 10 at 6 p.m. KST. This will answer Hwang Hana's recent court statements that she was pressured by celebrity friend 'A' to take in drugs.
Despite Hwang Hana's accusations, Yoochun denies in a statement that he offered his ex-fiancee Hwang Hana drugs and further revealed she's been harassing him since their breakup last year of May. In addition to his statement, Yoochun expressed his worries of coming out in the open and confessed his depression as a result of this entire predicament. The South Korean singer-songwriter was already questioned by the authorities and later released because of his innocence.
However, after being interrogated and falsely connected to the scandal, Yoochun felt ashamed and felt entitled to his fans for an explanation. Because of his depression, Yoochun sought for help and was prescribed sleeping pills while he was having nightmares of his life and career, falling right before his eyes. And even though he knew that Hwan Hana was also experiencing depression and was taking sleeping pills, Yoochun denied supplying her with one.
Furthermore, Yoochun's complicated relationship with Hwang Hana did not end immediately, even though the latter was already giving threats. On his statement, Hwan Hana would still come to his house and complain about his decision for a breakup, while adding into Yoochun's depression. Despite her insistence to get back, Yoochun would just apologize and comfort her in return of her support in 2017, when Yoochun was going through a difficult time.
The former TVXQ member firmly denied at the last parts of his statement he was a drug user. Yoochun claims that he never thought of using drugs despite his hardships to return to his career. And that he has desperately proved his innocence so that he will not have to retire his almost growing career.
