In light of her "surprise-drop" Wednesday of the live Coachella performance she did in 2018, Beyonce Knowles' travails during her last pregnancy are revealed.

Bey admitted she had planned on doing the Coachella the year before (2017) but that she had gotten pregnant "unexpectedly."

In her Homecoming Coachella album which is now streaming on Netflix as a documentary, the Destiny's Child former lead vocalist shared her arduous experience during her last pregnancy with twins, Sir and Rumi, now 22-month-old toddlers.

The 37-year-old singer and songwriter shared how rough it had been for her and how her body endured complications beyond belief. She also pointed out that her last pregnancy was a surprise in itself, not having planned it, but that having twins as well was just astonishing.

She had gained so much weight, being 218 pounds when she gave birth, and suffered through some complications of a high-risk pregnancy, including high blood pressure which accompanies preeclampsia and toxemia of pregnancy.

At one point, one of her fetuses was in danger when its heart skipped, leaving no other option but to undergo an emergency Caesarean section. And so, in June 2017, Bey and her rapper husband, Jay-Z, welcomed their twin babies.

Only four months prior, the record producer had shared the news with her fans on social media, immediately creating a sensation as the revelation came as a total surprise.

When the babies came early, Bey's mom Tina Knowles-Lason made knowing revelations on her grandchildren's future. Baby girl Rumi, according to the 65-year-old fashion designer grandma, will "rule the world" and baby boy Sir will just "chill" and relax like daddy.

The working mother also revealed that initially after giving birth she experienced "muscle spasms," and it felt like her "mind was not there." She calls her experience a "sacrifice."

Beyonce talked as well of how it went with her rehearsals when Jay-Z would bring the twins, as well as their older daughter, named Blue Ivy. Despite being on the job, she had to set aside some time to breastfeed her babies.

The 7-year-old Blue Ivy is seen in the aforementioned documentary, singing "Lift Every Voice and Sing." The mother and daughter are heard having a short conversation of how the little girl had enjoyed singing and how she was just like her mom in that sense.

Homecoming is a look at Beyonce's powerful headline performance in last year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. It was a great moment, not only because of the singer's epic performance but also because it was a landmark event.

Beyonce will go down in history as the first ever black woman performer to headline the event. The mother of three was originally scheduled to headline the 2017 Coachella, but, as the Homecoming docu revealed, as earlier mentioned, her pregnancy was more of a priority.

Besides her performance, Homecoming also features photographs of the time the twins were born as well as a wealth of home videos of the family through the years.

With three children now, she shared that it is not a cup of tea being a mother while also working on her Coachella performance.
