Jill Duggar gets slammed for her newest parenting tip but stays unfazed and shares the latest on her family's big move.

Getting criticized for her parenting style is not new for reality star Jill Duggar. She came under fire lately for how she handled her son Israel's recent bout of illness. What irked many of her fans was the way she went into a narrative of every little thing that transpired on that day, down to "goldfish, jello, and TV time."

Sometime later, she reported that Israel had gotten somewhat better and no longer threw up. She also revealed an old family secret with regard to getting sick in the Duggar family. Apparently, Duggar gave her son a popsicle while sick, as a reward, as she intends to perpetuate the family practice in her own home.

This drew some rather unpleasant comments from social media users. Some were more understanding of Duggar as a mother, as one user who commented on the post agreeing that "Jello" does seem to work when the stomach is unsettled as well as easily digested.

The same commenter asked that people "not get her" for this bit, saying that the more important thing was that the child was "well" and "has a loving family."

Another user agreed with this point, saying as a mother as well as a grandmother that, in her time, "tea" did not work but "popsicle" did, suggesting that it was in her opinion a decision that the actual parent ought to decide. She also went on to give advice to "trollers" to "worry more" about their decisions and not about some other parent's choice to "give THEIR sick kid a popsicle."

Still another Instagrammer defended Duggar saying why "this young mother" should be "scrutinized" for every little thing she does, going on to say that if it had been her "as a young mother" who were watched closely for "every move" she made regarding her children, she would have "hated" it.

But one user was critical, pointing out that "kids in my country" are better off, not being fed "shite," even going as far as to criticize "his parents" are "truly awful" and that it is not such a wonder that "Americans are obese."

Despite all the drama, Israel seems to have recovered without any lasting effects from the popsicle, and so Duggar got the opportunity to share just recently some news about their big move.

The TV personality posted an update on Instagram that a project they have been working on is finally ready---a new home.

In her blog she shared that her family would be moving to Lowell, Arkansas, revealing that she and her husband Derick Dillard had begun their preparations for the house "several months" back. She also shared photographs of the work from the time building started right down to the finish.

They even showed the inside of the house with a snapshot of their children, Israel and Samuel, standing in the newly carpeted living room. The family also featured some scripture verses close to their hearts which they had written on the house's framework.

They couple had announced in August 2018 that they would no longer be continuing their ministry as Dillard would be studying law at the University of Arkansas.
