Four months into their marriage, Priyanka Chopra says she 'judged' her husband Nick Jonas before knowing him better. She says she never considered she would end up marrying the Jonas Brothers band member.
The Indian actress confessed that she had "judged" the book "by it's cover" before actually getting to know him. When she was still dating Jonas in the two years prior to their marriage, she had not anticipated at the outset how things would turn out between them.
She says it was "all" her "fault."
The 36-year-old Miss World 2000 admitted her surprise when she began to discover the real Nick Jonas. She confessed he is very mature and poked fun at him for seeming older than the 26 years he really was.
Chopra even disclosed fondly her pet name for him, which she shared was "old man Jonas" or "OMJ." The Indian celebrity lovingly described her spouse as an "old soul" who was "extremely smart," and the one who kept her grounded.
She admitted to being the "wild child" in the relationship who did "whatever" she wanted "whenever" she wanted to, and through all that, and despite that, she shared that her husband "always" supported her.
For his part, Jonas has not made it a secret that his married life is "amazing," as is Chopra. He said it was "incredible" when you have "your teammate" rooting for you and always taking your part by "your side."
He feels that "marriage is great," and it becomes even more special when you have found the "right person" to share your life with. So much that the songwriter highly recommends matrimony for those who have found that person, just like he has.
Considering he was married to Chopra in two ceremonies, the "Cool" singer may just know what he is talking about.
Jonas and Chopra had a Christian as well as a traditional Indian wedding, and until now, months after they tied the knot, people in Jodhpur, India, are still talking about it. Jonas however learned a singular thing about weddings, and that is to never squint on the beer supply.
The singer disclosed that, during the wedding, the stores of beer which were prepared had run out. He felt it was a "big issue" because, he confessed, his friends were copious beer drinkers.
On a lighter issue, Chopra was recently sparking rumors the couple was pregnant when she attended the Michael Kors Fall 2019 show in February. She was caught in a snapshot with the American fashion designer, and in it she seemed like she was in her early period of pregnancy.
However, the mistaken impression was cleared up by her mom, Madhu Chopra, who explained that it was merely a "bad angle" that made it appear as though Priyanka were expecting.
On this topic of children, Priyanka revealed that it was not something she is presently thinking much about, although she admitted she expects this will come in due time.
For his part, Nick voiced out that they were "taking their time" and that he is instead devoting his attention to securing a "legacy" which the couple could later bequeath to their future children.
