Melania Trump's "Be Best" youth program will be featured centrally in this year's White House Easter Egg event. To get into the spirit of the holiday, two new games will be introduced during the eagerly awaited Spring event.

The annual festivities will include a hopscotch game which will reflect the First Lady's aforementioned program on anti-bullying and anti-drug abuse initiatives. Besides this, the upcoming gathering will also feature musical eggs, another innovation in this year's Easter egg lineup of activities.

For this year's celebration, some 30,000 guests are slated to be in attendance. The United States President Donald Trump will also be taking part in the merriment always associated with the White House Easter Egg Roll.

It has not been confirmed for this year, but the Trump children have been to the past gatherings marking the Easter celebration in the White House. The Easter Egg Roll has presented much enjoyment for children every year, and the game bearing the name of the celebration is a favorite among the young generation.

As the name of the game implies, the egg rolling competition involves the forward rolling of eggs with the use of wooden spoons in a race of who gets to the finishing line first. While this involves precision and strategy, children as well as adults have had a good laugh over the antics and mishaps which can be displayed during the length of the game.

There will also be the Cards for Troops station promoted by the Trump administration, which will allow children to sow kindness through postcards they can send to their friends and family, and essentially to anyone they want to send a message to, but especially members of the military in service.

The Postal Service of the United States has provided a mailbox on the grounds for exactly this purpose.

Another feature of the eagerly anticipated event is the Reading Nook where the First Lady will be putting in some time as one of the readers this year. The Secretary of State Michael Pompeo as well as his wife, Susan, are also on the list of readers this year.

The egg hunt of course is traditional as the name of the event implies, but there are also the egg decorating and cookie decorating stations. Podiums and frames for photo sessions have also been set up in anticipation of the 2019 White House Easter Egg Roll.

There will be characters in costume and a souvenir distribution of a commemorative egg at the conclusion of the event.

The 2019 White House Easter Egg Roll will open Monday, April 22 at the South Lawn of the White House grounds.
