WARNING: This article contains spoilers from 'Line Of Duty' Season 5 Episode 4 and 5

Line Of Duty season 5 episode 5 will be the penultimate of the series this season, and there have been many questions left hanging in the previous episode. One of the mysteries in this season is the identity of "H," and some believe he is Ted Hasting and he's hiding a dark secret.

Based in the synopsis of Line Of Duty season 5 episode 5, the hunt for H further intensifies which caused Kate Fleming and Steve Arnott to wonder if Hastings is hiding a dark secret. This episode might be the biggest so far this season, as John Corbett is now out of the story yet there's still danger across the city.

So, is Adrian Dunbar's character guarding something? Previously, it was believed that Hargreaves was H, but that's not the case here anymore. It seems like the new suspect now is Hastings, which probably makes sense as there's evidence pointed he could be the mysterious character.

For instance, he's sometimes giving shady facial reactions and also reluctant at times to go along with the whims of his colleagues. As per CarterMatt, it's just too obvious that Hastings is actually "H," but still, there are mysteries surrounding the story, and the series would probably explore deeper about the identity of this character.

In the previous episode, there also a lot of hints suggesting Hastings is H. Perhaps, one of the biggest and most subtle was when he misspelled the word "definitely" as "definately" when he was pretending to be the mysterious character. Many fans think Hastings is very comfortable pretending to be H while communicating to the OCG, which leads to suspicions he might be hiding some secrets.

However, it is also possible he's aware H could not spell that word, so he used this tactic to mimic the shady character. Still, all of these were pure assumptions, and it is possible there could be another villain lurking out there. In another part of the upcoming episode, Steve will likely have a big role, especially now that Corbett is gone and since he is the one responsible for letting him go.

Line Of Duty season 5 episode 5 will air on Sunday, April 28, on BBC One and it can also be watched on BBC iPlayer. As for the audiences in the United States, Otakukart reported they have to wait until the current season will be completed. Then, Netflix will release the fifth season, dropping all of its episodes.
