Royal insiders say that Prince Harry is getting angry over stories about his wife, the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, in the media. A recent story revealed that the members of their royal staff have allegedly been calling the Duchess "Me-Gain" because of her difficult behavior.
Former British press secretary Dickie Arbiter claimed in an interview that it would be natural for the prince to angry and upset about all these reports. He advised the Duke to "keep his head down" and just look forward to the birth of their first child.
In recent months, stories about the turnover of staff members in House Sussex have made its way into the papers. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex couldn't keep a staff on their employ for too long since they would always quit.
These stories insinuated that Meghan is a difficult person to work for. She is an early-riser, a hard-worker and a person with a stream of ideas that she passes on to her staff with instructions in the early hours of the morning, as per Elite Daily.
One other report cited that Meghan's pregnancy cravings promoted Harry to hire a helicopter pilot on stand-by so he could fetch her snacks. The pilot reportedly quit his job and was the fourth one to do so this year, following the resignation of the Duchess' assistant, a private secretary, and the replacement private secretary.
However, these stories about Meghan's difficult behavior may have been taken out of context. Royal expert Tina Brown said in an interview with CBS This Morning that the Duchess has to deal with "two-pronged horrors" as part of the British royal family.
Competition between palace staff is evident because each house has to protect their masters. So, instances of gossiping, feuding and other sneaky activities are ever-present.
This suggests that the stories about Meghan's staff may have come from other royal staff members at other houses. The other horror she has to deal with is the fact that the tabloid media feeds into these stories without making verifications.
"Being negative sells newspapers at the end of the day," Arbiter said when talking about the recent bad press for House Sussex. "Every one of them is guilty of having a go, at finding fault, and it's very easy to find fault," Arbiter added, referring to the press. "It's very easy to be negative, very difficult to actually be positive for them."
