Taylor Swift has been storming out the media for the past couple of weeks now. Ever since she got back from her "no-interview policy" during the Reputation era, it seems that everybody wants to have an interview with her. This is only fitting though as her latest single, ME!, has been finally released after hinting all about it and her new album since the early months of 2019.
Aside from the hints about her upcoming album, Taylor Swift revealed that she incorporated a lot of "Easter eggs" on her latest single's music video. And as it happens, this caused a lot of speculations and noise from the whole Swifties fandom.
While most of them are busy decoding the clues and hints for her next album, some of the fans have theorized that Taylor Swift might be preparing a single for a film's soundtrack. Although there were no clear confirmations about this, Taylor unveiled that she is playing a role for the upcoming film, Cats.
As you may know, the ME! artist is a huge fan of cats. She loves them so much, and she has three of them at home. She just got her new and third cat, Benjamin Button, while shooting and filming the music video of ME! a few weeks ago. So when the opportunity to play the role of Bombalurina from the popular musical play, Cats, she immediately told herself that she must do it.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Taylor Swift revealed a lot of things about the new Tim Hooper's film including the training sessions and lessons that she obtained from the so-called "Cat School." She mentioned that this school is readily available on set for the whole production. And in this school, they were taught how to move, eat, act, and live like a cat.
The 2019 Cats film features an all-star cast. Aside from Taylor, the cast members include Rebel Wilson, Jennifer Hudson, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, James Corden, Jason Derulo, and Idris Elba.
Taylor Swift also mentioned her curiosity when they first called out by the production for the film's preparation. She actually asked the production on how the set will go considering that Cats is very challenging to produce. She even mentioned how she asked them about the costume and all. While thinking that they will be wearing suits with furs, it has been revealed that the furs will be digitally edited on the post-production.
So far, these are the only details that have been shared about the film. And since Taylor has been getting a lot of attention lately, it is very much likely that things will further unveil in the coming weeks.
