Fortnite fans will surely take notice that the latest move by Activision is designed to temp them in and try out the upcoming Battle Royale, which will be a part of "Call of Duty: Mobile" when it gets released. Game time is reportedly set late 2019 though the title is now on beta mode prior to the actual rollout on Android and iOS devices.

Battle Royale is nothing new to COD fans as the game mode was first seen last year via the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 4" installment of the series. For the small screen adaptation, 100 players will parachute into a combat scene that according to Activision will happen on 12 multiplayer maps.

Certainly, where the fierce skirmishes are taking place will be familiar to long-time COD followers as the Battle Royale maps to be used on COD Mobile have been seen before. CNET said gamers first saw and experienced the 12 scene settings from previously released COD titles, spanning from the original release to the fourth chapter.

As the label implies, Battle Royale is a race to survival that will commence from the moment a player jumps out of the plane, collect gears and weapons then starts hunting for foes. The object is to clear the map of enemies and end up as the sole survivor, meaning one needs to kill 99 players to win.

Activision said Battle Royale on COD Mobile is best described as "fast and frantic," which should be perfect for the smartphone version of the game mode. The game maker also made clear, according to Android Headlines, that COD Mobile is a unique gaming experience. For instance, Battle Royale on the mobile title will have distinct features compared to its counterpart on "Call of Duty: Black Ops 4."

One particular feature exclusive to COD Mobile BR is called "dog tag retrieval," which will allow players to revive fallen colleagues. But this can only happen if the process of resurrection was left undisturbed by enemy players, and in which case, fallen teammates can jump back into the game.

In playing matches, players are given the option to go with the game on first-person or third person perspective and any of the views offers varying advantages. First-person, of course, makes the gameplay a bit realistic third-person provides a wider angle of view, which for many players is more preferred.

Prior to the start of any match, players are advised to pick the view that works best for them as changing the perspective is not allowed in an ongoing match.

Activision has allowed the beta release of "Call of Duty: Mobile" in India and reportedly Australians will get the chance soon to test the game title next. If the plan goes well, players in the United States will take COD Mobile for a spin prior to its commercial debut.
