Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio were both starstrucked when they met the late actor, Luke Perry, on the set of the film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Perry, who played an actor in the upcoming film together with Pitt and DiCaprio, died last March at the ripe age of 52, after suffering from a massive stroke.

DiCaprio, who plays Rick Dalton, a television star whose career is spiraling downward, and Pitt, who plays Cliff Booth, the character's stunt double, have both kept his memory alive in a recent interview. They spoke highly of the late actor and talked about their experience acting alongside one of the iconic persons in Hollywood.

DiCaprio recalled one of the earlier moments on the set when he was yet to be acquainted with Perry. He and his friend "Vinny" arrived and saw Perry standing close to where they were and claimed he suddenly have butterflies at the sight of his childhood idol. Vinny, professionally known as Vincent Laresca, stars in the film as well and also shares a fondness for the senior actor on the set.

In addition to that, Pitt opened up about how it felt so nostalgic to be seeing Perry there. He says it felt like they were kids in a candy shop the whole journey of the movie filming.

He recalls going to the studios and seeing Beverly Hills, 90210 when he was younger and just thinking how Perry had always been the epitome of coolness to his younger self and his peers. Pitt confesses how he felt surges of excitement and elation to be able to act with the very person he had looked up to and watched on television from his adolescence.

Aside from talking about Perry's success in the industry and his prowess as an actor in his time, DiCaprio and Pitt also praised Perry's personality. Apparently, he was an extremely humble person, not once boasting or seeming superior or arrogant towards anybody on the set.

They remembered he was easy to work with, since he got along well with almost anyone. They mention about how truly kind he was. The two actors also commended Perry for his dedication and commitment to his role and to the overall success of the film. They were in awe of his professionalism and hard work.

Towards the end, DiCaprio says, almost wistfully, how Perry could not have been a more friendly and wonderful guy to spend time with. He counts himself lucky for having been able to sit and have a lot of meaningful talks with the late actor.

Although, he has passed, Luke Perry will always be spoken highly of by the likes of DiCaprio and Pitt. He will always be remembered as a man who remained grounded and who loved what he did; he was someone who strove endlessly in what seem a hell-bent industry today.
