Apple is expected to tighten the security system of the much-awaited iOS 13. Most likely, the experts at the Cupertino-based tech giant are currently exploring potential vulnerabilities of its soon-to-be-released iOS version. It is worth noting that the jailbreaking community has not yet developed a solution to address the security issues of several jailbreaking tools in iOS 12.2 and iOS 12.3. But, according to an expert, there are ways that these issues could be fixed.
Notable security expert and researcher Dany Lisianky recently noted that iOS 12 has its own set of weaknesses that independent developers and the jailbreaking community can still exploit. Lisansky shared that he has uncovered several vulnerabilities in iOS 12.2 that the Cupertino-based tech giant fixed. However, he said that there are still specific gaps that could aid in the development of jailbreaking tools.
How To Fix Common Cydia Problems on iOS 11.3.1 Using Electra Jailbreak
There are times when users experienced different forms of issues while running a jailbreak using Electra. One of these issues is Cydia not showing or Cydia crashing after or during the jailbreaking process. To fix this, run the UICache, which is the troubleshooting process used to fix the error with Cydia not showing up and Cydia crashing.
To run UICache, get the WiFi IP of the device. Go to settings, click WiFi, hit the blue icon near the wireless network icon and then copy the displayed IP. After that, root the device in SSH. To do this, open the Applications section of your Mac, and look for Terminal Application.
On the prompted window, type "ssh root@". Key in yes then hit the enter button. Key in the root password alpine and hit the enter button again. When this is done, you can proceed to Run UICache.
Type uicache in the assigned panel and hit the enter button. Cydia should appear on your device. If Cydia does not pop up, try hard rebooting your device and see if it resolves the problem.
For Cydia crashing issue, there are several reasons for the crash. If the crash happens during after the jailbreak process, the issue is most likely due to the fact that the device is not yet in its jailbroken state. To resolve this, open Electra on your device. Look for the enable jailbreak option.
If you could not find it and instead see Share Electra, it only means that your device is already jailbroken. Hit the enable jailbreak option, do it repeatedly until the device becomes jailbroken. Always re-enable jailbreak using Electra every time you restart your device.
