"You are what you eat" is a saying that shows how the whereabouts of our body reflects the kind of food we let inside it. Unfortunately, no matter how much people try to choose healthily, there is still this possibility that what they are putting inside their cart is not what they expect it to be. As reported by Delish, there are actually several fake foods that are presently circulating the market most people are unaware of, which could probably make them sick big time.
To differentiate what's natural and real to its counterpart, an online social media group called Blossom posted a video on Facebook that shows several ways to tell them apart. From the most common foods like vitamins, milk, and rice, their video gives you the power to determine those that are good and those that are not.
RICE
Considered as a staple food in most parts of the world, rice indeed receives such great demand. Too bad there are several entrepreneurs of these rice that are selling their products with other things like plastic to increase profit with less production cost.
One of the ways to determine that the rice you've purchased is pure is to expose it to intensive heat. By doing so for a couple of minutes, plastic particles will tend to dissolve. If you've noticed this to happen, make sure to throw the remaining rice away and don't purchase the same brand of rice anymore.
VITAMINS
Vitamins are created to strengthen our body. Unfortunately, not all vitamins are created from natural sources. Some were created synthetically, which could cause harm instead of the opposite.
So, how will you know if you've purchased a good supplement? Bake it. By exposing your supplements to high temperature, synthetic supplements will surely dissolve, while natural supplements will not.
MILK
Milk is one of the healthiest food in the market, but only if it is pure. Unfortunately, some milk manufacturers are offering their products with rice milk, which adds volume and quantity to the milk they are selling without increasing its production expenses.
To know whether your purchased milk is fake or not, you might want to add some seaweeds on it. Once the seaweed is added to pure milk, the color will not change at all. On the other hand, milk with rice milk will change into blue.
To determine whether one product is a fake or not, remember to always look at its price. If the price is too good to be true, then the product you are just about to buy might probably be fake.
