Jenelle Evans is facing any mother's nightmare: She has lost custody of her own kids in the last month. The past reality star has recently broken her silence about the matter. But instead of pooling her resources and focusing her energy on regaining custody of her children, the former Teen Mom 2 star has been mercilessly bashing her mother, Barbara Evans, in public.
The older Evans has custody over her daughter's two children after a ruling from the case's presiding judge earlier in May. The judge temporarily ruled that the younger Evans will not regain her custody over Jace, 9, and Ensley, 2. Moreover, Jenelle's other child, Kaiser, 9, remains in custody of her father and the reality star's ex, Nathan Griffith.
An inside source has revealed that Evans was in a state of shock upon finding out that the judge came to such a verdict and has been visibly upset over the fact her own children will not be returned to her anytime soon. Evidently, the whole situation had not sat well with Jenelle, and this has led her to publicly lash out and accuse her own mother of being abusive.
The source added that, for the time being, the three kids will remain with their current respective caregivers.
Jenelle recently posted an old picture of herself with her child Ensley and captioned it with a quote about how a child's love for their own mother will never fade and that nothing in the world could change or affect that special love between mother and child.
This is ironic because not too long after she posted it, Jenelle badmouthed her own mother in an interview. She opened up on how upset she was about an incident that occurred in the parking lot of the courthouse just after one of the recent hearings for the custody case.
In the interview, she talked about how her mother expressed that she did not feel comfortable with allowing Jenelle to hold Ensley. This was because, prior to that, it was also ruled that all her visits had to be under the supervision of agents from Child Protection Services.
This angered Jenelle, and she told her mother that, if she had a problem with her hugging her own child, then she should go get an officer, and added that, obviously, Ensley was fine and not at all scared to hug her mother.
Jenelle stole a hug from the kid, and Barbara was quick to come up with an excuse to break them apart, saying she had to go and take Ensley to eat, since the hearing finished close to noon time, and the child had prior complaints of being hungry.
The whole bloody custody battle was rooted from an incident in April that involved Jenelle's husband, David Eason. According to reports, Jenelle's dog, Nugget, was allegedly shot dead by Eason. Eason was quick to defend his actions by saying he had done it because it apparently snapped at their 2-year-old daughter.
The dog's demise marked the start of officials from the Sheriff's Office and the County Animal Control looking into the home affairs of the Easons and linking the incident to probable cruelty and violence in the household. Consequently, Kaiser had been removed from their home by Child Protective Services, after he confessed to some school counselors about the gruesome happenings in their home.
The custody case is still ongoing, and according to sources, will be dragged on for as long as deemed necessary.
