Before its announcement and unveiling at the E3 2019 Next Horizon Gaming event, the final specs of the highly anticipated AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT was recently leaked. Thanks to videocardz, we know have the idea on what the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card will be like. The leaked specs also confirmed the speculation circulating on the web that one of the two Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards is arriving in the gaming industry in July of this year.
Leaked Final Specs
The AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card, according to the latest leak will be based on the 7nm Navi GPU. This means that it utilizes the latest AMD core architecture, which is the RDNA. Based on earlier AMD statements, the RDNA architecture delivers a refurbished Compute Unit or CU design.
By this, AMD meant that the CU will enable the machine to deliver better gaming performance compared to the existing GCN-based graphics cards. Key upgrades could include multi-level cache hierarchy, new compute design unit, and streamlined graphics pipeline, which could be in the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card if the latest leak is to be believed.
Two More Clocks
Moreover, the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card will be released with 40 compute units. It will feature 64 stream processors as earlier confirmed by the AMD, which means that users will get around 2560 streams processors. The chip, based on the latest leak, is clocked at 1605 MHz base but comes with a couple of extra clock speeds, the clock speed, and the gaming clock.
The boost clock as leaked will have 1905 MHz clock speed while the gaming clock will have 1755 MHz clock speed. Given the boost clock details, users can expect that the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card will have a maximum of 9.75 TFLOPs of a single-precision compute. Additionally, the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card is said to feature 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
This means that it could run across the 256-bit wide bus interface. We have yet to see if AMD opts to have the same 14 Gbps GDDR6 dies like that of NVIDIA or chooses a much cheaper alternative that functions between 10 Gbps and 12 Gbps. Additionally, since the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card is an AMD XT variant, there could be a cut-down of the Pro variant. Since this is a leak and we have not heard anything about this from AMD officially, readers must take these details with a grain of salt.
