Life seems to be harder now that Teresa (Alice Braga) is in a new country in Queen of the South Season 4 Episode 3. After a kidnapping situation in the previous episode, she is going to face another problem with the city's judge.
The guy seems to be in control of everything that is happening in New Orleans. And now that Teresa is in the country, he will only allow her operation running in one condition. He needs to get involved in everything they do.
In Queen of the South Season 4 Episode 3 promo, Teresa comes up with an idea on how she will be keeping this judge out of her business' way. She thinks that by giving him a lump sum, it will be enough to make him realize that he doesn't need to be involved in their business.
Teresa is willing to give the guy a big amount of money, which seems to be what he wants. As her business is continuously booming, the judge seems to want a big part of it.
However, it remains to be a big mystery why this judge wants to be personally involved in the business in Queen of the South Season 4 Episode 3. He can get the money and ask again later if he wants to, but he wants more, per CarterMatt.
The judge is a powerful figure in the community. Thus, he has a strong grip on Teresa's business there. However, if Teresa moves her production in a different country, he will have no control over her anymore. So, he is taking advantage.
Teresa has tremendously changed in the past four seasons, but Braga revealed she only loves her character more for that. In the first season, she told TV Fanatic, she had to run a lot, but it was a fun thing to do for her.
It is the first time that Braga does a television series, and she cannot deny that she loves the action. She has always done films, so it is a new environment for her to do a show where she can revisit her character every year.
Although they stop working after a season ends, it is a great feeling for Braga to do it again. "Because the heartbeat is still there," she said.
Teresa is not doing the things she does in the first season anymore. As the character evolves, new things are about to happen throughout this season. Queen of the South Season 4 Episode 3, "Hospitalidad Sureña," will be out on Thursday, June 20, on USA Network.
