Kia has dropped another teaser of its widely anticipated 2020 Kia Seltos, the first mini SUV of the Korean brand. The new teaser didn't give that much information, but shows its sporty front and rear end and reminded people that the Seltos would launch on June 20.
KIA confirmed in mid-May that its range would soon have a new SUV, with a car located in the range below the KIA Stonic. As already noted in a previous article, the Kia Seltos will compete in the tight mini SUV segment with a number of great competitors such as Renault Duster and Captur, Chevrolet Tracker, Nissan Kicks, Ford EcoSport and Suzuki Vitara. The Kia Seltos doesn't have any intention to be left out.
The manufacturer says that the Kia Seltos 2020 will be aimed at young professionals, connoisseurs, and fans of technology. As the previous teaser showed us, it will have an environmental lighting system that changes according to the music, called "Sound Mood Lightning." It will also have a full multimedia center with a touch screen of 10.25 inches, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This generously sized screen is located above the dashboard, floating, showing a fall of the attractive center console with a clear separation between the driver's side and the passenger's side.
In addition to these interior sketches, a very realistic finished of the Kia Seltos which have been seen in a completely nude model while doing what seemed to be a promotional shoot, shows that the Seltos will have a very sporty and young look, and this is confirmed in the new teaser that Kia revealed a few days before the Seltos' official debut.
We can see many of the same parts of the vehicle as last time in this teaser; however, we do get a better look at the front and rear end, but curiously, we still haven't seen a photo of the lower area of the 2020 LiaSeltos until now. The teaser shows that the Seltos is pretty sporty and handsome-looking for a vehicle in its class, sporting bits of the Volvo XC40 which car enthusiasts love.
Kia confirmed that the vehicle would start its commercial life in South Korea during the third quarter of this year before arriving at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It will then be marketed worldwide at the start of 2020.
The big question now is in its engines and its platform and how the Kia Seltos will fit by size and price in the market. It has been reported, but not confirmed that the Seltos can get a 1.0 T-GDI of 100 and 120 HP and the 1.6 CRDI of 115 HP. As for its price, taking KIA Stonic as a reference, it can start at $12000.
