Kia continuously teased people for the reveal of 2020 Kia Small SUV model later this year as it published a new series of sketches of its new compact SUV. The Exterior sketches of Kia's new small SUV production version were published over a week ago, and now Kia wants us to take a glimpse of its sleek interior.
The 2020 Kia Small SUV was first unveiled last year with the Kia SP Concept and has evolved at the beginning of the year to become the Signature Concept. This new model, which will be the company's first small size, is getting closer to its world premiere as evident to the new interior sketches Kia provided.
Despite being a model of small size, the new Kia compact SUV will have a dashboard very similar to its bigger brother range, with an overall look targeted to the Millenials and the space and capabilities of a traditional SUV, in a package compact.
Upholstered in high-quality materials, the expansive forms and the technical forms of the cabin create a youthful and luxurious atmosphere. With "chic" design details, such as metallic reflections on the vents and a large control panel. The three-spoke steering wheel has subtle embellishment of brushed aluminum, and the grab bar on the passenger side of the center console adds a sense of sportiness.
The 2020 Kia compact SUV also maintains a focus on technology. The dashboard is based on a new navigation system with a 10.25-inch touch screen that provides complete access to a range of features. The easy-to-use touch center console allows certain features, such as ventilation and air conditioning, to be adjusted easily and safely on the move. The Sound Mood Lighting technology can alter the ambient lighting to suit the occupants' preferences.
The Millenial look of Kia's 2020 compact SUV blends perfectly with its exterior as evident in the sketches Kia published a week ago. The exterior shows some slender headlights which will be found skirting the grill 'tiger nose' to give a youthful and interesting aspect. On the back, Kia offers C-shaped LED headlights that grip a crossbar over the license plate section. The bumper looks large and integrates a diffuser with a trim that simulates exhaust outlets and a protective plate that is a characteristic of many SUV today.
The new 2020 Kia small SUV is said to be presented later this year and could probably be at the Frankfurt Motor Show which will take place in September. Although we cannot rule out that this date only serves to present it live and that the Korean brand can prefer to launch it online weeks or months before as like what they do with these online teasers.
Production of Kia's first small SUV will be at the beginning of 2020 and will be available in South Korea first and will be marketed in other global markets soon after.
