Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment already confirmed a new character to arrive in Season 2, Wattson, a character who wields electric barriers. But recent leaks seemingly point to a second hero that could be named Crypto. He is reportedly a sword-wielding hacker that could be the game's first cool villain, and apparently, he may be already hiding in plain sight.

Keen-eyed fans have recently discovered "Crypto's laptop." We're not sure what it does yet, but fans are theorizing that it could belong to the new character. However, he/she hasn't been announced yet.

The discovery was made by community theorists That1MiningGuy and FrozenFroh. It once again hints at Crypto's involvement with Season 2's opening event. It seems the hacker legend - or at least some of his equipment - may show up soon.

And that's not all. Crypto's laptop happens to show a large image of the Repulsor to the right-hand side of the display. It sure is interesting, considering the Repulser was activated and has started moving. The Repulser is in charge of making sure the wild creatures surrounding King's Canyon, such as the looming Leviathans and recently spotted Flyers, don't come too close and cause any trouble.

As seen on Crypto's screen, a countermeasure called "Obfuscation" is written on the first line. It could be working against the initial activation of the Repulsor, and the owner of the laptop could be trying to bring it down.

The last line on the screen shows the word "exfil," which happens to be a term used by the military short for exfiltration. This means that the unknown person is trying to get someone out of a hostile zone and into safety. But who?

The front of the laptop certainly has several elements that need to be decoded, but there are also details on the back of the laptop that is also worth deciphering. The back of the laptop shows a logo that has ties to the Titanfall universe - it's a logo belonging to Mendoko, which is featured in Titanfall 2.

There's also a number "2" on the back of the laptop. Could this mean that this is a second laptop and that there are other laptops lying around waiting to be discovered?

We have a lot of questions. But Apex Legends season two is almost here, so we're going to find out what's going on within the game, specifically, what or who Crypto is.
