Fats, unlike what most people regard it to be, is an essential part of one's body. Fats work hand in hand with proteins to store energy for the body's future use, protect our internal organs, and also manage our internal temperature.

Unfortunately, too much of everything has always been not good. That's why fat, along with other minerals and vitamins in the body, should be just enough for the body to benefit from it the most. As reported by Medline Plus, excess fat can build up in the arteries and raise your LDL or bad cholesterol, which can eventually lead to the increased risks of stroke and cardiovascular diseases.

Given this reason, people tend to do everything to burn excess fats. Though proper diet, exercises, and workouts can create a positive impact, no one can deny the fact that burning these fats are not very easy to do.

Good thing experts from an online health blog named Body and Soul posted several but simple ways to burn those extra calories. "With science on our side, there are little things that we can do every day to turn our body into effective fat burning machines," says Dr. Vincent Candrawinata, the adjunct professor at the University of Newcastle and founder of Renovatio nutritional supplements.

Investing more time standing is one of the most effective things to do to burn those extra calories according to the post. Candrawinata claims sitting for too long could only put the body into a freezing zone, which hinders the body to burn fats. Furthermore, standing also helps you manage a good posture, makes your respiratory system healthier, and makes you feel good about yourself more.

Another thing to keep in mind if you want to burn more fats is to drink more water. Candrawinata shared that often when our body feels hunger, what it wants is water. That's why drinking a glass of water is the best thing to do before consuming your favorite comfort food, which usually has high calories and fats.

Water also has zero calorie content, which means that drinking lots of it won't be a threat in your healthy and fit physique. There is even a study conducted that says drinking about two glasses of water before a meal can encourage the body to burn more calories of about 44 percent as compared to those who do not.

Though these tips seem so simple, Candrawinata wants to emphasize how these tips deserve the spotlight as they can be useful in helping a person reach their desired health goals. Following these tips can create not just a healthy effect but also significant ones.
