Poldark season 5 is almost coming on BBC One, and this would be a bittersweet moment for long-time fans since this would be the final installment of the series. But, Ross Poldark star Aidan Turner revealed he's willing to return as older Ross when he aged enough to do the remaining books.
Fans wanted to find out how the story of Ross and Demelza Poldark (plays by Eleanor Tomlinson) will end in Poldark season 5. In the original novels of Winston Graham, a lot of things happened to the couple, and as they get older, the focus turned to their grown-up children.
However, Debbie Horsfield, the cast, and the crew came up to a decision to end the screen adaptation with the rest of the cast at their current ages. But for Turner, he said that he's not closing the door on his character, as well as they journey in Cornwall - and he might never will.
In a report from The Times newspaper, the actor says never say never, which is encouraging for fans who are hoping he will reprise his role, if ever. But when he was asked if Poldark season 5 was the right time to end the series, he answered it was.
Turner said it feels like it's the right time to end the show, and added all of them had an incredible journey - yet it's a long shot and they are ready to do other things. He then shared what he loves about Ross and how he has grown over the past years - describing his character as a real and flawed individual.
The actor also admitted there's nothing he hated about the show. He said long days on set weren't an issue for him since he's used to early mornings. He also shared some heart-wrenching final scenes with Tomlinson, his co-star for five years.
He recalled it was just the two of them in a bedroom in Nampara, which is the right way to finish, as well as the right place. So, will Ross and Demelza have a happy ending or will there be a devastating twist in the series' final run?
In another report, the recently released video of Poldark season 5 shows that Ross will do everything that he can just to save Cornwall once again. The issues have always been the same, particularly in terms of inequality, the poor's safety, as well as making sure tyrants wouldn't get what they want.
