A number of leaked photographs believed to be that of the "Super Nintendo World" have surfaced on several social media platforms. The leaked photos show a model for the proposed theme park, which will be under Universal Parks. This top secret project is expected to open its doors to tourists in 2020.

The leaked images show mushrooms, Bowser's castle, and a number of interesting models that are common in the Nintendo world. People who have played a few Super Mario games should be familiar with these models.

This is not the first time that photos of the Super Nintendo World models were leaked into the public. In 2016, rumors about Universal Parks' intention to build a theme park using Nintendo's massive intellectual property had gained attention. Among the rides expected to be available in this theme park are Toadstool Café, Yoshi's Adventure, Mine-Cart Madness, and, of course, the popular Mario Kart.

It is important to note here that the scale model dates back to 2016. Nintendo and Universal Parks could have made some changes on the arrangement of the rides and shops. Nevertheless, the designs of the shops and rides are extremely close to their video game counterparts. A number of Nintendo villains can also be spotted on the leaked images. Among them are the Pokeys and the Piranha Plant which debuted on new Super Mario Bros. games.

While the model does showcase a number of Nintendo assets, the Donkey Kong section appears to be missing. As mentioned earlier, this is a scale model which was released in 2016, so Nintendo and Universal Parks could have made some important changes and have added a Donkey Kong section already.

Despite being a top-secret project, Nintendo has confirmed the construction of the project on several occasions. Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said, "Theme park development with Universal Parks and Resorts is underway. Construction on the 'Super Nintendo World' area at Universal Studio Japan is open in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics."

Aside from Nintendo's native home of Japan, the Super Nintendo World park is also expected to be constructed in the cities of Orlando, Los Angeles, and Singapore.

While these recently leaked images gave the community a sense of what to expect once the park is launched, it should be taken with a grain of salt. Nintendo did not comment nor verify the veracity of these leaks. Nevertheless, if these photos are at all credible, the Super Nintendo World park is sure to be fun.
