The ninth season of the action-packed brain popping AMC series The Walking Dead ended in March and its fans are now expecting for its tenth season. Our favorite Zombie killing series was given a signal to continue despite the decline of its ratings. Its showrunner Scott Gimple since season four to eight expects 20 more seasons of the series.
Many are asking if what will the upcoming season brings to its audience. Here are the things that you should expect for The Walking Dead Season 10.
The upcoming season will be released in October just like its past episodes. Andrew Lincoln will not play Rick Games since the actor left the series in the fifth episode of the previous season over family commitments. He said that he wants to direct an episode in season ten. He was quoted saying that he plans to shadow a director and he intends to direct next year.
Michael Cudlitz is also expected to be part of the team, and he will direct another episode following the Stradivarius episode in the previous season. He was quoted by the Entertainment Weekly saying that he was fortunate enough to go back last year and direct. He said that he is going back this spring and direct another one. He confirmed that he would direct an episode of The Walking Dead Season 10.
Reports said that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will return to the series as Negan. Norman Reedus will also go back to the show playing Daryl Dixon. Casts who remained alive in the show will be re-casted including Melissa Mcbride who plays Carol Peletier, Christian Serratos as Rosita Espinosa, Josh McDermitt as Eugene Porter, Cassady McClincy as Lydia, Nadia Hilker as Magna, Eleanor Matsuura as Yumiko, Dan Folger playing Luke, Lauren Ridloff as Connie, Angel Theory as Kelly, Callan McAuliffe as Alden, Avi Nash playing Siddiq, Khary Payton as King Ezekiel, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel Stokes, Ross Marquand as Aaron, and Judith Grimes.
Sonequa Martin-Green was cast as the late Sasha Williams in season nine of The Walking Dead. Reports said that Ryan Hurst would go back to the series as Beta. Hurst said as Walker Stalker Con, London that he and Angela Kang has been rapping about exploring more of their relationships and getting some answers. It is also expected that Samantha Morton will continue with the show playing Alpha.
Hollywood Reporter reported that Danai Gurira would return to The Walking Dead Season 10 and she is expected to appear in a handful of episodes that will be interspersed throughout.
