Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly planning to relinquish her power to her son Prince Charles soon. There were reports that the monarch will likely give up the throne when she turns 95, and she would give up her power to the Prince of Wales, thus happening in two years.

Many were well aware that Queen Elizabeth is the longest-reigning monarch, and she has already been serving for 66 years. Royal author Phil Dampier claims there were rumors Her Majesty might be passing her power to Prince Charles, who was reportedly trained to take over the throne his entire life.

In a report from Yahoo's The Royal Box, Dampier said there were talks that when the monarch reaches the age of 95, she will slow down and the Regency Act will probably be brought in. Even though she'll remain to be the Queen, her son will reportedly take over most of the royal duties.

If you aren't familiar with the Regency Acts, these were a series of laws that regulate the process of establishing regency in case the monarch could no longer perform his or her royal duties. According to reports, the last regency in the United Kingdom ran from 1811 to 1820. This was when King George IV had been given the full powers of his father, as King George III suffered from an illness.

While rumors about Queen Elizabeth giving up all or part of her powers to Prince Charles have been shut down, the Prince of Wales has been seen taking extra royal duties from his mother and reportedly preparing himself to be the King.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles celebrated his 50th year being the Prince of Wales, in which he undertook 20 engagements across Wales along with his second wife, Camilla Parker Bowles. Moreover, he's also attending meetings regarding the Duchy of Lancaster at Clarence House.

Prince William, on the other hand, will reportedly take over the current role of his father - meaning he's also preparing of becoming the next Prince of Wales. The Duke of Cambridge has reportedly started preparing for the role by attending meetings regarding the $1.3 billion Duchy Cornwall.

The Duchy Cornwall is 134,000 acres of land in over 23 counties in the UK providing income to the heir. The land reportedly generated $25 million just last year.

In another reported, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry reportedly had a "difficult relationship" after the monarch allowed Prince Charles and Prince William to take over. The Duke of Sussex reportedly felt that he was as if left in the dark.
