Production on SEAL Team season 3 is definitely in full swing. The CBS show has more than two months to prepare a few episodes before it premieres and returns on the air on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 9:00 p.m.

CBS confirmed the release date of SEAL Team season 3 last June. Its schedule will be sandwiched between a new season of Survivor as well as the premiere of S.W.A.T. season 3.

In line with its filming, SEAL Team MIA posted a video on Twitter to reveal what has been happening behind the scenes. And while it doesn't show any spoilers for SEAL Team season 3, it's enough to entice the fans for what's coming up next.

Ordinarily, SEAL Team season 3 films on location for the soldiers' mission. However, the show still needs to work in the studio set since the stories also give viewers a peek of the SEAL's home and work environment, and this is what the video clip has revealed.

Meanwhile, SEAL Team season 3 lead actor David Boreanaz (as Jason Hayes) hinted that the upcoming storylines would focus on the group's life and relationships, including their past. A potential demotion could also happen with one of the characters.

"We identify them and see what their lives are like, new relationships, identifying past stories with where they come from, looking at their adversities they have to overcome," Boreanaz said, per The Hollywood Reporter. "Whether that's in the political spectrum of Washington and someone becoming an admiral or maybe not."

Boreanaz also said that SEAL Team season 3 would be more character-driven than centered on the plot. But as for fans hoping for romances, that might not happen in the third season as the writers have to prepare a good love story, especially for his character.

Debuting in 2017, SEAL Team follows the Bravo Team of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group, an elite unit. They take on some of the most dangerous military operations in the world.

Author Benjamin Cavell created SEAL Team with the help of writers and executive producers Ed Redlich, Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman, and Christopher Chulack. John Glenn has been named the new showrunner for the third season.

As of its current airing, SEAL Team has a total of 44 episodes, and while it's not a top-rating series on CBS, it has won the following and loyalty of viewers who are mostly military veterans. It was because of these veterans that the network decided to retain the show.
