It's fair to say that the Galaxy Watch Active is already one of the best smartwatches available in the market today. But does Samsung want to stop there? No, naturally. In fact, things are about to get better thanks to a new software update.
Let's start with Bixby. Samsung's virtual assistant can now be activated without the need to get your phone out or touch your watch. You can use Bixby to create your own exercise routines, get the time difference between cities, and control your smart gadgets at home. In the future, Bixby will be able to know your routine and questions in order to be more helpful.
Next up is the App Tray UI. Samsung has made navigation easier so you can get through your apps with simple swipes. The device's Goodnight Mode now has a dedicated view if you want don't want to see alerts or notifications.
To avoid getting distracted, users of the Galaxy Watch Active will be able to get a quick glance at the time after the update rolls out. But if you want more control, you're free to adjust settings to customize alerts.
Now for the fun features: the Galaxy Watch Active can now detect if you're swimming with the smartwatch. About time, since wearables are all about tracking one's active lifestyle.
If you're not exercising, the Galaxy Watch Active can still be of assistance when it comes to caring for your health with a new feature called Heart Rate - Low Alert feature. This feature will inform users when your heart rate drops below a level that a user can specifically set.
Samsung also corrected one major flaw in its smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch Active lacks the rotating bezel that made previous versions of the smartwatch easy to use. The software also made users swirl their fingers around the area of the display to mimic the rotating bezel. With the update, you don't have to do that anymore. You can spin through the app tray by swiping across the screen horizontally.

There's an Active Textile Collection that's made of premium textile while also provide a reflective strip so you stay visible when you're outside. The Active Rubber Collection, meanwhile, is made of soft FKM rubber that's easy and soft on the wrist.
Samsung also has something for leather lovers: the Active Leather Collection and Active Leather Dress Collections. Both design lines are made from authentic Italian leather and are available in several colors.
