Russian trolls target Leonardo DiCaprio's Instagram page. Lady Gaga also suffered the same dilemma after the same group of trolls drowned her Instagram page with rude comments. The trolls demanded her to return Bradley Cooper to Irina Shayk, a Russian.
Russian trolls believed that Lady Gaga is the reason for the Cooper-Shayk breakup. Users invaded the account of the actress and commented nasty things like "Our Irina's legs are still longer" and "She has no photos with bears. One of the users also said that she doesn't know how to start a (nuclear) reactor, (and) kids will stop drinking vodka listening to her music." Another said that if you haven't written a comment to Gaga, you are not a Russian. Their comments posted back when the artist posted going to Pride.
Recently, Russian speaking users invaded DiCarpio's over issues about Lake Baikal in Russia. The Russian trolls have reportedly decided to continue doing the same stunt to raise global awareness on serious issues concerning Russians after realizing that their move to invade celebrities' Instagram pages could make headlines.
Nasty comments on the actor's Instagram started on Sunday after one Russian social media user commented on Lady Gaga's account. The comment said that their stunt had turned into something the whole world learned about. The user also claimed that they could do similar stunts in the future to raise awareness about certain issues.
The trolls targeted DiCaprio who is part of Russian descent. The Russian users are now attacking DiCarpio's account to get the actor to help deal with environmental issues in Russia, particularly Lake Baikal. The trolls want to make the issue on Lake Baikal to be a global concern. They used #savebaikal when they invaded the actor's account.
One user posted, "Leo!! All of Russia and Ukraine, along with the entire former USSR, plead you to save our Baikal." Another user commented," There's Russian spirit, you're ¼ Russian - just like the Queen of England, but we won't ask her for help!"
Some of the trolls invited the actor to visit Russian so that he could see the logging activities around the lake. The user invited him to come to the lake and take a picture.
The actor failed to comment about the invasion of the trolls on his Instagram picture. It is also uncertain whether they will succeed in their act to save the lake. The trolls might have good reasons for the act, but their method is wrong. It is rude to invade other people's private life.
