Things will be starting to heat up in Elementary Season 7 Episode 11 with the return of John Noble. The 70-year-old star will reprise his role as Morland Holmes to help Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) bring Odin Reichenbach (James Frain) down.
"Holmes and Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) join forces with Holmes' father, Morland," "Unfriended" official synopsis read. "He will enlist his vast criminal network to help disassemble tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach's crime prevention system."
Morland has been a big part of the series' mythology. He is the reason behind Sherlock's success. The older Holmes helps his son to be who he is now, per CarterMatt.
His huge criminal network will also help Sherlock and Joan to analyze Odin's newly-introduced crime prevention system. Although Morland is not always an excellent choice to work with, this kind of trouble will bring out his expertise.
In Elementary Season 7 Episode 11, Sherlock and Joan will use Morland to defeat Odin. Although it may be hard work for them to beat the tech genius, it will be an exciting sight to see them try. After all, the protagonists always win against the villains.
Meanwhile, Showbiz Junkies noted Liu would be behind the camera to direct "Unfriended." It might be good news for the 50-year-old actress to be on the director's seat once again before Elementary officially comes to a close.
The show is now in its final season and only has three episodes left before it bid its goodbye. Liu has directed a few Elementary episodes throughout its run. She even directed other episodes from other series.
CBS has been generous enough to let their cast members direct an episode of their show. It helps open more opportunities for the artists, other than just acting. As the series finale nears, Liu must have learned a thing or two about directing under CBS's wings.
Elementary Season 11 Episode 7 will feature some guest stars like Kristen Bush, Charlie Semine, Jodi Long, Roderick Hill, and, of course, Noble. January Lavoy, Lisbeth MacKay, Eric Elizaga, Kristoffer Cusick, Rachael Holmes, and Gabe Doran will also be seen in the series. "Unfriended" is about to hit the small screens on Thursday, Aug. 1, 10 p.m. on the CBS Television Network.
