The famous couple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi were reportedly speeding towards what could be a $400 million divorce, all because of some disagreements about adopting children and expanding their family.
A handful of gossip tabloids previously published reports of how the talk show host's marriage was on the rocks due to the concurrent disagreements over whether they should adopt children, and a couple of other marital disputes that they have been dealing with for years now.
These rumors as well as other related stories of DeGeneres and De Rossi going through a rough patch in their marriage, are all untrue. These reports were published by gossip tabloids which are notoriously infamous for their obvious lack of credibility.
The phony source behind the gossip tabloid's reports supposedly revealed that Ellen had been wanting to adopt a child for a long time now. However, Portia was not too enthusiastic about the idea and straight up told her spouse that it was not in any of her plans to have kids right now or possibly ever.
But with much convincing and suspected guilt-tripping, Ellen had persuaded Portia that it would be a great thing to adopt a child and that she would love to experience being a parent with her.
The source then maintains that the two had started looking into adoption agencies and calling them up for a couple of queries about the whole process. Portia was also allegedly going out on shopping sprees for baby furniture, clothes, and toys.
But due to an unresolved issue in their marriage, Portia reportedly took back everything she said about willing to become a parent with Ellen and to make a big leap in their marriage by adopting a kid. Portia supposedly hated how much of a workaholic Ellen was. The latter was apparently always at the studio and came home at late hours where all she would do was sleep and eat.
This had been an ongoing problem for Portia because she apparently has no tolerance for any kind of neglect from her wife. She also could have been in thoughts of how the burden of raising the child would fall on her own shoulders, since Ellen seemed to be married to her job rather than to her.
The questionable source then wrote that because of their long list of unresolved marital disputes, the two were heading towards a divorce that could cost them at least $400 million dollars.
However, the couple's spokesperson has stepped up in order to confirm that all these rumors and tabloid reports are fabricated and untrue. The insider also assured people that these allegations were ridiculous and the two are not going through anything of that sort.
In fact, the couple had just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. An occasion which prompted Ellen to take to Instagram in order to post a sweet video message for her wife of a decade now, which also included some never-before-seen footage of their wedding ceremony.
Moreover, the two are reportedly in a mutual agreement not to adopt any children as they prefer life with uninterrupted conversations and furniture not reeking of grape juice and milk formula. This was confirmed by Ellen herself in an interview she was previously in.
