The English Premier champions are reportedly close to completing three deals, one of which involves Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala. With Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire reportedly set to sign for the club, Manchester United have made serious advancements in another case.
A report from Sky Sports claim that United and Juventus have agreed on a swap deal that would see Dybala moving to the Theater of Dreams and Lukaku moving the other side. The report follows the news of Dybala's agent arriving in England to discuss the deal with United.
Talks between Man Utd and Juve have apparently progressed at a quick pace and the deal now hinges on whether Dybala will agree to the move. It was previously reported that the former Palermo forward would rather stay in Turin instead of leaving the club for new pastures.
If Dybala is unable to agree terms on a move to Old Trafford, Lyon striker Moussa Dembele is also on United's shortlist to replace Lukaku.
Lukaku was a prominent part of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's first few United lineups but his form fell away towards the end of last season. There was a struggle in displacing Marcus Rashford up front, with him admitting he has always wanted to play top flight football in Italy.
Speaking after United's 1-0 victory over Kristiansund, Solskjaer addressed the transfer rumors currently surrounding the club, stating: "I'm not here to talk about any rumors or speculation about other team's players. But of course, we're working on one or two cases, as I've said before."
Solskjaer says they're eager to announce new players, hopefully before the window closes.
Dybala had a disappointing 2018/19 season by his own standards, managing just ten goals in 42 appearances for La Vecchia Signora, often having to play second fiddle to new signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has approved Juventus' transfer move for Lukaku, the UK Sun reports. The Serie A champions have opened talks with Lukaku about a potential switch after Inter Milan failed to meet Manchester United's asking price.
United want £80million for Lukaku and are prepared to let the Belgian leave this summer if that figure is matched. The Portuguese has reportedly been heavily involved in transfer talks this summer, as the Italian giants aim to win the Champions League next season.
Juventus and Ronaldo hope an overhaul of the squad will boost their Champions League hopes and have already signed Ajax superstar Matthijs de Ligt, as well as Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot.
