Several reports from Spain and the UK claim that Real Madrid is in advanced talks with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Neymar. The Brazilian striker was interested in returning to Camp Nou, but seeing that won't likely happen, Barca's arch-rivals are attempting to land the 27-year-old.

According to El Chiringuito, discussions between Real and PSG are advancing, while Catalan Daily Sport says its sources close to negotiations have confirmed that Los Blancos have offered PSG 120 million euros and Ballon d'Or winner Luka Modric in exchange for Neymar.

This summer Real have already invested 300 million euros in total to sign Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy, and Eden Hazard. But the word is that the club is planning to add one more player to join Zinedine Zidane before the closing of the transfer window, especially that this pre-season has been rather disappointing for the club.

PSG's 's coach reportedly wants Man Utd's Paul Pogba. Should the deal fail, however, Neymar could still fill in what would be Pogba's role, whom United have been reluctant to let go.

Furthermore, reports on Tuesday suggested Neymar was offered to Man United on loan this summer, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign the Brazil international.

Neymar had hoped that breaking free from Lionel Messi's shadow would catapult him into Ballon d'Or winning contention, but PSG's continued struggles in the Champions League, along with his own injuries have put a halt to his plans. The Brazilian's time in PSG hadn't been so smooth, as he had caused several disciplinary issues. Reportedly the French club has grown tired of his behavior and although reluctant, would want to sell him for the right price. The French Champions have already offered him to Manchester United and Juventus, but neither club was interested.

Real had been more open to accepting Neymar. Club president Florentino Perez has reportedly reached out to the star to offer him a deal of 5 years and a salary that would match his earnings at PSG.

Florentino Perez is said to have an excellent working relationship with his PSG counterpart Nasser Al-Khelaifi - and a deal to sign the mercurial forward is in the preliminary stage of negotiations.

Neymar has caught the eye of other clubs as well. Apart from Real, some reports have indicated that Juventus have shown initial interest, with head coach Maurizio Sarri reportedly a huge fan of the striker.
