If Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are no longer attending their friends' fancy dinner parties of late, it's not because they have to be home with baby Archie Harrison. A new report has revealed that it is because they have been taken off the guestlist for their annoying PDA.

According to Daily Mail, the friends of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have become annoyed over the fact that the couple would always insist on sitting next to each other. Traditionally, dinner party couples are supposed to be seated apart and encouraged to mingle with the other guests, but the pair have been forgoing etiquette so that they can be close and be affectionate towards each other.

Sources told the news outlet that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's behavior are ruffling a lot of feathers. Some say that this public display of affection (PDA) is an "American thing," but it's is often frowned upon in Britain's social circle.

In the CBS documentary Meghan and Harry Plus One, biographer Angela Levin revealed that Duchess Meghan is not quite popular among Prince Harry's circle of friends. They think that she's the dominant person in their relationship and has strong feminist views that could threaten the monarchy.

"They adore Harry, but they seem to think that she's running the show," Levin said.

But friends of the former television star did not seem surprised by the recent criticisms. They believe that they have experienced first-hand how the duchess could behave so badly.

Television presenter Lizzie Cundy, who said that she became friends with Duchess Meghan in 2013, said that their friendship turned sour after the royal suddenly refused to talk to her. At that time, she was just starting a relationship with Prince Harry, and the press just got wind of their blossoming romance.

Cundy recalled that Duchess Meghan wanted to pair her up with single English men back when they were still chatting. But when word got out that she's with Prince Harry and when Cundy tried to reach out, the duchess turned cold towards her.

The presenter believes that the palace may have instructed Duchess Meghan to distance herself since Cundy is part of the press.

"I was literally ghosted by her," Cundy said, per Daily Express

However, Duchess Meghan's other long-time friends, such as makeup artists Daniel Martin, actress Jessica Alba, and CBS host Gayle King, have come to her defense to dismiss the negative press surrounding Prince Harry's wife. The British press might be too quick to judge and see faults in her, but her friends insist that she's low maintenance and hardly a diva if they truly got to know Duchess Meghan.
