Tesla Model 3 was recently dubbed as the best electric car anyone can buy by a YouTube's UK-based auto reviewer. The Tesla Model 3 bested some other electric vehicles and ranked first in the YouTube channel. The top 10 list of the best electric car was named by Car Wow, which is one of the famous auto reviewers with comprehensive experience in the auto industry.
The YouTube channel is hosted by Mat Watson, which has extensive experience when it comes to reviewing premium and affordable electric cars in the world. While the host did not reveal the metrics used to rate the electric vehicles included in the top 10 list, it seems that they based it on the build quality, performance, technology, price, and interior of the vehicles.
Tesla Model 3 beat its teammates, Tesla Model s and Tesla Model X in the YouTube channel's ranking. It also bested the Jaguar I-PACE and the Audi e-Tron. According to the channel host, the technology of the Tesla Model 3, its driving dynamics, and overall driving experience are some of the factors that placed the vehicle on the top spot.
Mat Watson also said that although the Tesla Model 3 is not the most affordable electric vehicle, it is the best in Tesla's lineup when it comes to overall value. It seems that the years of experience of the company as well as its learning from Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X were great contributing factors to the success of the Tesla Model 3. In fact, the channel host noted that the build quality of the midsize electric sedan is almost the same as that of German vehicles.
CarWow also pointed out the futuristic and hyper-minimalistic cabin of the Tesla Model 3 as one of its strong points. Watson added that the massive infotainment system and the cabin design of the Tesla Model 3 make the interior of the vehicle several years ahead of its competitors. The driving dynamics of the vehicle also got positive reviews considering that Tesla binds the sporty handling with its trademark acceleration.
Elon Musk, during the company's second-quarter earnings call, said that the story for the future of Tesla is basically the Tesla Model y and the Tesla Model 3. Both, according to him, were designed to offer electronic vehicles to the mass market. Tesla Model has already begun doing this with the base variant of the vehicle packed with basic autopilot and a long list of safety features and technologies available for only $40,000.
