Warning: This article may contain possible spoilers for NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11.

The newest season of NCIS: Los Angeles is about to bring much newer things on set and plot. And with the show's arrival in less than a month, it looks like it's all going well for the show.

As per Cinema Blend's updates, the stars of the series are definitely preparing for the new season. These preparations largely include haircuts and physical training sessions.

While the new haircuts may be surprising for some, the fitness sessions are not. In fact, it is just suitable for the show's cast members to be physically fit considering the overall dynamic of NCIS: Los Angeles. And based on what just happened last season with the war emerging in the Middle East, the characters should be well-equipped and well-trained to face the upcoming combats.

Aside from the physical changes that could be seen with the cast members, there are other changes as well that will be apparent, especially with the plot and course of the show. As it happens, one of the series regulars will stay out of sight for a while.

According to Cinema Blend, Barrett Foa, who plays the role of Eric, will take a leave of absence from the show. And for five to six episodes, his character will be written off due to personal reasons.

Thankfully, these personal reasons are far different from Lina Hunt's. Foa's absence is primarily because of outside projects that he has. And instead of leaving the show for good, he went on to file a leave of absence considering that he holds a series regular position on NCIS: Los Angeles.

It is also revealed how it will all play out when the new season arrives. Per reports, Hetty will assign Eric for a side mission that no one can know about. So, it seemingly appears that Eric will still appear on the premiere of the new season before being sent out.

This actually fits the whole narrative since the previous season finale left him and Nell as they headed over San Francisco. And if they will truly appear on the premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11, then he will be surely pulled out by Hetty to assign him the task.

As for Linda Hunt's Hetty, the fans are hoping that she could now return to the show the way she used to play Hetty's part on set. And if that happens, then it's good news since this means that she has recovered now.

So far, these are the newest details that have been shared about the show. And it seems that there will be a few more updates before its arrival.

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11 will premiere on September 29, on CBS.
