A new surprising detail about the map of "Cyberpunk 2077" was recently revealed by the game producer. Compared to the popular game "The Witcher 3," which was also developed by CD Projekt Red, the upcoming futuristic sci-fi title is a little smaller. The producer, however, shared that despite this, the map is denser compared to the epic open-world game starred by Geralt of Rivia.

"Cyberpunk 2077" Producer Richard Borzymowski shared details about the game's world size. This, apparently, answers one of the fans' questions about how large the game's map is. To some fans who are into traversable landmass, they might feel like the producer's statement is a drawback, but if they take a look at it, it might change their minds.

"The Witcher 3" gave gamers different fantasy worlds that they can explore with villages, cities, and a wide array of the vast countryside that they can journey. "Cyberpunk 2077" on the other hand, removes the countryside and replaces it with one massive city and loads it filled with even more things. The "Cyberpunk 2077" world looks big, but it will not be quite as big as "The Witcher 3" when it comes to square footage.

In his interview with Games Radar at this year's Gamescom, Borzymowski shares that if you take a look at the pure surface kilometers of "Cyberpunk 2077" you might think that it is a little smaller than "The Witcher 3." The fantasy epic game is an open world with expansive forests and lanes in between larger cities and smaller cities like Novigrad, but the upcoming futuristic sci-fi title is set in Night City, which is an important part of the setting. In simpler terms, it is the protagonist in the game, so it needs to be dense.

The game producer adds that through this, they were able to achieve the results that they intend to accomplish. Although it is a bit small, it is full of life according to the producer of "Cyberpunk 2077. " Night City has more spaces vertically stacked on top of one another, and it seems like players will not be able to explore outside the city.

Additionally, we already know that Night City is divided into six districts without loading screens between them. Players can explore the Badlands, which is the outskirts of the city. Meanwhile, Lead Quest Designer Pawel Sasko recently shared that "Cyberpunk 2077" has mature content and themes that are often avoided by other game developers. The dev team of "Cyberpunk 2077" will release 15-minute gameplay this week through a Livestream, most likely, we will get more details about the districts in the game.
