A new report appeared online suggesting that the next OS update from Google for various smartphone brands will be called Android 10 or Android Q. The report also claims that the upcoming update is scheduled to release in the first part of September. Additionally, the schedule aligns with the list of smartphones that is already in play for the Android Beta Program for the software.

It is already a given that smartphones on the software's Beta program will get the upcoming software update from the search engine giant. But, there are other Android devices that will receive the Android Q or Android 10 update when it rolls out. For users using the most recent Android Beta software for Android 10, they will most probably see the final update of the new OS in September.

This includes Google Pixel, Google Pixel 2, Google Pixel 3, Google Pixel XL, Google Pixel 2 XL, Google Pixel 3 XL, and Google Pixel 3a, and Pixel 3a XL. Only Google made smartphones will get a direct update from the search engine giant.

Asus ZenFone 5Z was included in the Android Beta program so it will definitely get the Android 10 final update. Other smartphones, including Huawei Mare 20 Pro, Essential Phone PH-1, Nokia 8.1, LG G8 ThinQ, and OnePlus 6T will also receive the latest Android 10 update. Mi 9, Realme 3 Pro, Techno Spark 3 Pro, Nex S, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, Oppo Reno, and Sony Xperia X23 are also recipients of the final Android OS smartphone update.

The Android Beta program started in March 2019 with Beta 2. In April Beta 2 started while Beta 3 and Beta 4 started in May and June respectively. The program's Beta 5 begun in July but was put on hold. It was later continued after a short mishap. Beta 6 was a pre-released Beta update and rolls out a lot of tweaks.

According to a rumor, Android 10 will be officially released on September 3, 2019. The claim comes from a couple of tech support screengrabs shared by users to Phone Arena earlier today. The rumored official release date is a logical date to roll out an update since it is the first business day of the month.

Looking at the previous updates releases, their day of release seems consistent. For instance, Android 9 Pie was released on Monday, August 6, 2018. Android 8 Oreo was rolled out on a Monday to August 22, 2017. Android 7 Nougat was also released on a Monday, the same as the release day of Android 6 Marshmallow.

Based on these release dates, it appears that the search engine giant has a habit of releasing its updates on Monday. If the pattern is accurate, then the Android 10 might roll out on September 2, a Monday.
