The highly-anticipated rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury to be held in 2020 now have concrete dates. If there are no more changes that will happen down the road, analysts have it that Tyson Fury will have an advantage over Deontay Wilder.

According to the World Boxing News, the rematch will happen on February 22. Since the announcement, Luis Ortiz has provided his own WIlder confirmation. While in Nevada to take in Manny Pacquiao's victory against Keith Thurman at the MGM Grand back on July 19, Ortiz was cornered and asked about the rematch. He did not try to evade the question.

It can be remembered that he answered that his fight with Deontay Wilder is on November 9th. This is also a highly-awaited event since the Cuban previously won over the "Bronze Bomber" in a fiery match only to lose at the Barclays Center subsequently.

If Wilder is to take on Ortiz still in November while "The Gypsy King" Tyson Fury will already be in action in two weeks against Otto Wallin, Fury will have a longer run-up for the rematch against Wilder. Fury will have more time to prepare and train against Wilder on this match, while Wilder still has to worry about Ortiz and then probably be too worn out by February.

November 9th and February 22nd are separated just by 15 weeks; potentialy, too short for both recovery, and training camp for a match of this magnitude between Fury and Wilder. The World Boxing News stated that this allows the Briton to have a "clear camp advantage."

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, even said that Wallin is chosen specifically to fight against Fury for the latter to practice ahead of Wilder. "The one requirement we had [when choosing Fury's opponent] was that we needed to find a big guy because he will be facing a big guy when he fights Wilder for the title," Arum told the Sports Man. "Wallin was the best available fighter. He's a decent fighter, he's undefeated, he's got a good punch, and he'll give Fury a tussle."

Still, nothing is set in stone here. An earlier analysis by Boxing News 24 claimed that the two are matched in their strengths and stats clearly. They are considered the top two heavyweights in the sport for a reason. In fact, both are yet undefeated and have achieved quick knockout wins after their draw against each other.

Nevertheless, Wilder is said to have a proven track record of ending fights with just a punch. One error by Fury and he can face the same kind of defeats that Wilder let his previous opponents suffered in the past. If Fury is not careful, and will just bank on lengthier run time, he might become too complacent and give Wilder the biggest win of his career.
