Neymar joined PSG a couple of years ago for one of the biggest deals in the history of football. His departure from Barcelona was acrimonious but his time with Paris Saint Germain has been a troublesome one. While PSG keeps on dominating the domestic football scene, it struggles in the Champions League.
Paris Saint Germain failed to get past the quarter-final stage of the elite club competition in Europe. Neymar, on the other hand, is at the center of multiple controversies, which includes an altercation with a fan after suffering from a defeat against Rennes in the French Cup's final last season. The incident caused the 27 years old footballer a heavy fine and suspension.
Additionally, Neymar has had several falling out with some of the high ranking officials of the team. He engineered his return to Camp Nou last summer but the deal never pushed through because of various issues. Meanwhile, Lionel Messi is being rumored to leave Barcelona at the end of the season.
According to Barcelona President Joseph Bartomeu, the Argentine football superstar can leave freely. But Lionel Messi, during the interview, insists that he will stay with Barcelona for as long as possible considering that the team continues to win.
