Samuel Umtiti finally breaks his silence about rumors making rounds on the Internet of his exit from Barcelona. Several reports claim that the French centre-back is leaving Barca for Arsenal to join his fellow Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette. Another rumor claims that the Blaugrana defender is included in Barcelona's player-plus-cash deal for Paris Saint Germain's Neymar.

Barca defender Samuel Umtiti vehemently denied rumors that Arsenal wanted to sign him during the summer in spite of the plea of Alexandre Lacazette that he joins the team. He insisted that he has no desire to leave Barcelona and simply laughed off to speculations that he could be sold to Paris Saint Germain or Arsenal. Canal Football Club last Sunday had a sit-down interview with the 25 years old centre-back.

Samuel Umtiti burst out laughing upon seeing a video of his former Lyon teammate Alexandre Lacazette inviting him to play for Arsenal. During the interview, the Frenchman said that he has no idea where the rumor about Arsenal transfer came from. He revealed that he received several messages from his friends inquiring if he is indeed joining Arsenal.

According to Samuel Umtiti, he told his friends that he is not leaving Camp Nou. When asked if he had been in contact with Arsenal, the 25 years old Barca defender revealed that he has no idea if the team was talking to his agent during summer. He also disclosed that he told his agent that he does not care what is happening last summer because he will have the same answer about everything.

During the interview, Samuel Umtiti revealed that his dream as a child was to play for Barcelona. He transferred from Lyon and went to Camp Nou in 2016. During his first two seasons with Barcelona, he made a name for himself as a key player of the team. He was also considered the best centre-back partner of Gerard Pique.

But, in the previous season, a knee injury kept Samuel Umtiti on the sideline for four long months. Because of this, he was only able to make 13 starts in La Liga. His absence allowed Lenglet to forge a partnership with Pique, which was the reason why the French footballer was out during the first three games of Barcelona. The 25 years old defender is injured once again and hopefully, this is not a serious injury.
