Manchester United was off to a good start and managed to make a 4-0 victory against Chelsea at the opening weekend. The two goals were made by the 21 years old English footballer Marcus Rashford. However, the United forward is recently taking flak from fans because of his lousy performance but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to have fixed his faith to the young player and despite all these shares his keeping his trust and confidence to Rashford.
Despite a run of just a couple of goals in his last 12 appearances for Manchester United, it appears that Marcus Rashford still has the trust of his boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The English footballer inked a five-year contract with the Old Trafford during the pre-season and has not made a single goal in nine games. Manchester United managed to score one goal in their match against the Wolves, Southampton, and Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils made a single point when Paul Pogba missed spot-kick at Molineux. Marcus Rashford, on the other hand, missed from 12 yeards six days later at the Old Trafford against Crystal Palace. This kind of charitable finishing left Ole Gunnar Solskjaer frustrated who was very transparent in showing his frustrations at his team's failure to convert simple opportunities. Several publications reported that the Norwegian was growing irritated by Rashford's performance.
Daniel James made an awesome goal during the team's match against Southampton and place in a number of taunting crosses in the dying phases when Red Devils pushed for a winner. Since Anthony Martial is injured, Marcus Rashford was tasked the central role but failed to make the impression and showed little desire to get on the end of Daniel James' crosses. This is the criticism Solskjaer has been receiving from the very beginning of his reign at Manchester United which stems from his experience and knowledge when he was playing.

It was very surprising to see the Norweigian manager sanctioning Romelu Lukaku's transfer but remaining confident that Marcus Rashford's game can be guided to his liking. There is a general acceptance that Rashford's education at the Old Trafford has not offered him with the single-minded urge to get into the six-yard box although he is mainly used as a left-winger over the last three years.
The Norwegian manager was not disappointed by Rashford missing the penalty attempt against Crystal Palace, and it seems that the 21 years old English footballer will be entrusted again to take the club's next spot-kick. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reaffirms that he still believes in Marcus Rashford's abilities and has even told him that he will stay on penalty duties.
