The Affair season 5 episode 5 will air later this week, and there are a lot of things to look forward within this episode, particularly to Noah Solloway and his ex-wife, Helen Butler. Here's what viewers can expect in the upcoming episode titled "505."
Is it possible Noah (played by Dominic West) and Helen (Maura Tierney) will rekindle their romance? That could be possible as the trailer of The Affair season 5 episode 5 suggests their feelings still linger, but the wounds are still raw, as well.
Their marriage fell apart because of Noah's infidelity with Alison Bailey (Ruth Wilson). But, could the ex-lover finally reconcile? That's possible. However, they're still in a complicated situation, especially now that Helen is beginning to focus on herself and also working on her first gig.
The trailer of the upcoming episode featured Helen having a makeover, and one of her friends told her it's her debut as "Sasha Mann's girlfriend." The promo then jumped into another scene, wherein Helen looks elegant in a white gown as she enjoys her time at an event.
In the trailer, Noah wants Helen to give him another chance, as he told her: "I deserve a second chance." However, Helen shook her head and responded: "You had a second chance," and added, "I don't love you anymore."
At the end of the promo, a car loses its control and crashes. The question now: is Noah behind the wheel? Within this series, there's always a consequence in every action. So, what will Helen do if ever something bad happens to Noah?
Meanwhile, in another part of the clip, Sierra (Emily Browning) is struggling to balance motherhood and her career. So, she turned to Helen and asked for her help to watch her baby. But, Helen told Sierra: "You brought a child into this world, figure it out."
These two women had a history, as they both slept with Vik Ullah (Omar Metwally) -- with Helen still grieving him, while Sierra falling pregnant. The latter was, then, featured talking with her mother, who questioned her friendship with Helen. Sierra responded that Helen is like a second mother to her.
The Affair season 5 episode 5 will air on Sunday, September 22, on Showtime in the U.S. Sky Atlantic will air the episode in the U.K. on Tuesday, September 24 at 9 p.m.
