The previous season of The Blacklist ended with a huge cliffhanger about Raymond Reddington. Fans are relieved to know that he is alive but in serious trouble in the upcoming The Blacklist Season 7.

NBC released new sneak peeks for Episode 1, titled "Louis T. Steinhill." It revealed that Red (James Spader) had been abducted by Katarina Rostova (Laila Robins) in Paris.

The first clip shows Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) giving Liz Keen (Megan Boone) a call to tell her that Red has been captured and he is alone. Knowing that she needs the help of the Task Force in finding Red, Liz reveals in the second sneak peek everything she has been keeping from the group. The secrets include the fact that she was the one who turned Red over to the police and Red's real name is Ilya Koslov.

The official synopsis for Episode 1 stated that Red would find himself alone in hostile territory where there is no one he can trust. Meanwhile, Liz and the Task Force will do everything to find him.

However, it looks like even if Liz is able to save Red, the threat from Katarina will never stop. Executive producer John Eisendrath teased that Liz's mother will have a deep impact on her life and everything she believes in this season.

"The sort of triangle of Katarina, Liz, and Red will shine new light on the mythology of the show," Eisendrath added.

This means more about Katarina's backstories might be revealed this season. The present Katarina made her official debut in Season 6 finale.

Boone also earlier teased in the first look video of The Blacklist Season 7 that Katarina will change Liz's life forever. She added that fans should expect "more action" and "less secrets" in this installment.

"Now that Katarina Rostova has entered the picture, I think that's going to dramatically alter Liz's life forever. . . I think the show just keeps getting better and better every season. . . More action, maybe less secrets," Boone said.

Also, at the end of the said clip, Katarina can be seen telling Red that he will eventually divulge "everything" that she wants to know. The former KGB agent seems to have been pursuing something, which is expected to be revealed as well in the upcoming season.

What is Red hiding from Katarina that she is willing to do everything to know? Will Red succumb to the pressure and give up this secret?

Meanwhile, the Season 7 photos that were shared by Entertainment Weekly show Reddington tied up in a gurney while what seems to be medical staff surrounding him. In another photo, one of the staff is seen injecting a tube on Red's neck while he is tied in a fence.

The Blacklist Season 7 is scheduled to hit the small screen on October 4 on NBC.
