A month has already passed since The 100 Season 6 ended its course. Even so, fans are still left in shock after Hope Diyoza stabbed Octavia. What became more intriguing is when she whispered a few things to her before ending her life.

There is no clear indication if Octavia will no longer return for the seventh and final run of the series. However, her links to Charmaine Diyoza's now-adult daughter, Hope, is said to play an integral role in the upcoming course.

Express UK covered a recent interview with the showrunner, Jason Rothenberg. Based on his statements, the relationship between the two characters will be further explored when The 100 returns. He also hinted that Hope Diyoza's arrival in the course will be the focal point of the next season.

As seen in the early episodes of Season 6, Octavia and Charmaine Diyoza entered the Anomaly for a split second. It is worth noting though that Hope was still in the womb of her mother during this period. However, it seemed that time moves differently inside the Anomaly, hence, the arrival of the adult Hope in the end.

Hope whispered something to Octavia before stabbing her. These things did not come into the light until recently when Morning Picker revealed what she told her.

Intriguingly, stabbing Octavia was a heartbreaking moment for Hope. As it happens, she whispered to her that "he" still have Charmaine Diyoza, which sparked the speculation that killing her might be the only way to set her mother free.

It is not clear yet who this "he" that she is referring to. Fans are convinced though that this mysterious person will probably the big bad of the final season.

Jason Rothenburg further contended that the new season will continue where the course ended in The 100 Season 6. He also hinted that the other side of the Anomaly will play a "severe" role in the final run of the show.

The new season has started filming already. It is now only a matter of time when teasers start to drop. This means that all of the questions that are left unanswered will be eventually resolved. However, fans will need to wait for a few more months given that The 100 Season 7 will not premiere until 2020.
