A lot of character reunions will happen in the new season of NCIS: Los Angeles. Ahead of its premiere, several reports have already hinted that Mac and Harm will possibly continue their relationship after 14 years. While fans are excited over the JAG reunion, many are more looking forward to Callen's storyline.
Callen has experienced a lot of struggles already. With the death of his father after meeting him for the first time, it became a pivotal moment for him. This is why fans are very much interested in witnessing his future on the show.
Earlier this month, several publications have reported that Callen's arc will feature new changes in its dynamic. It has been uncovered that his personal life will be on the spotlight in NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11.
No one knows what part of his personal life will be tackled in the new season. Even so, this gave away the notion that it might be related to Anna's return.
According to Cartermatt, Anna might return in the later episodes of the new season. However, her return will be quite "tricky" considering her current status in the United States.
A few installments back, Anna escaped from prison. Eventually, she left the American soil to hide from the authorities. Quite obviously, this ended her ties with Callen. So, if she chooses to return and continue the relationship, the couple might do it while Anna is back behind bars.
For some, it's a challenging dynamic to push through. But, it is worth noting that a challenging plot is what most fans love about NCIS: Los Angeles.
The publication also gives the idea that Callen might still find his love interest in the next season. However, it might no longer include Anna in the picture. Nevertheless, it's much easier for the plot since they'll only need a new character in place.
Express UK, on the other hand, claimed that a few hints are pointing to Bar Paly's possible return as Anna. No confirmation has been shared yet. And no word has been heard from the actress.
Whatever the case though, the series heads assure the fans that NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11 will give Callen and Sam the right spotlights in terms of their personal lives.
The new season will start to drop new episodes on September 29, on CBS.
