Google has set the Pixel 4 unveiling on October 15 but details about the new series of stock Android flagship have been coming out, and the latest indicates how accessible the handsets will be. As expected, the upcoming devices will not be cheap and in some cases will be priced higher than the iPhone 11.

From gadget tipster Evan Blass, the supposed pricing of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL was published on Twitter but take note that the currency on display is Canadian dollar. That should give an idea that in other markets, the new Pixel will likely sell at a higher or lower price mark.

The Pixel 4 price tags in Canada will be as follow:

  •  Google Pixel 4 64GB $1050
  •  Google Pixel 4 128GB $1200
  •  Google Pixel 4 XL 64GB $1200
  •  Google Pixel 4 XL 128GB $1360

As pointed out by BGR, which picked the tweet from Blass, a buyer picking up the regular Pixel 4 with 128GB of storage (the maximum memory space for all variants) will find that the handset is more expensive compared to specific models of the iPhone 11. For a better perspective, check the iPhone 11 pricing in Canada that the blog site provided:

  •  iPhone 11 64GB $979
  •  iPhone 11 128GB $1049
  •  iPhone 11 256GB $1189
  •  iPhone 11 Pro 64GB $1379
  •  iPhone 11 Pro 256GB $1589
  •  iPhone 11 Pro 512GB $1859
  •  iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB $1519
  •  iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB $1729
  •  iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB $1999

From the data, which Google has not confirmed, it will tell that purchasing the iPhone 11 with 256GB of built-in storage will save a buyer $11. But the best part is that saving will come with higher disk space, twice as much as the memory found on the Pixel 4. If one would pick which of the two is the wiser buy, the answer is obvious.

Truth be told, however, the ultimate choice is a matter of preference. A buyer invested heavily in the Android ecosystem will not think twice paying extra for a taste of pure Android that the Pixel 4 offers. And the same goes for those who are long-time iOS users.

Now outside of the pricing comparison, it's quite clear that Google's design for the Pixel line is to become a flagship device. So the increase in pricing is not a surprise anymore. Besides, according to Business Insider, the hardware specs have been on the premium territory lately.

Google has already indicated the 2019 Pixels will boast of dual-lens camera setup on the rear, a facial recognition for extra security, and motion controls that can be manipulated by hand gestures. In other words, buyers will be getting their money's worth, which applies to the hardware and software side.
