Frank (played by Tom Selleck) will have a hard time dealing with a loss in Blue Bloods season 10 episode 4. Set to air on Friday, Oct. 18 on CBS, this installment will feature Jamie (played by Will Estes) taking the lead in a mysterious case.
According to the episode synopsis of Blue Bloods season 10 episode 4, Frank takes Jamie's case personally because he knows the victim. Apparently, the woman who died under questionable circumstances was the wife of his friend, FBI Agent Wilson Ortega's (played by Emiliano Diez).
In the teaser to Blue Bloods season 10 episode 4, Frank appears to be mourning the loss. Jamie tells his father that it looks like a "self-inflicted" gunshot to the head. Apparently, his friend's wife has been suffering from a terminal illness.
Did she really commit suicide? Frank is seen in the teaser telling his son that his friend's wife was really sick but there's something odd about the case that Jamie cannot figure out.
A longer clip to Blue Bloods season 10 episode 4 shows the famous Reagan family dinners. Frank is shown advising Jamie that their line of work involves making it easier for someone else who is struggling.
The upcoming episode, however, isn't the first one to have a huge impact on Selleck and his character. The actor said in a previous interview that he was deeply swayed in Blue Bloods season 9 episode 12, when Frank bumped into a former cop he fired on the job. He said that it made Frank regret firing the officer after seeing how her life turned out.
Meanwhile, as much as beloved the Reagans are, viewers following the show on Netflix might soon find Blue Bloods missing from the library. According to What's On Netflix, the cop drama will be removed from the streaming platform by Nov. 5, 2019.
While Blue Bloods season 10 is not yet on it, there's no more chance for Netflix viewers to catch up on the show after November. Apparently, Netflix's deal with CBS has officially ended when CBS All Access gained exclusive rights to the content.
Viewers who want to stream the cop show's previous seasons and the current season must instead sign up for a CBS All Access subscription. Eventually, this platform will also have the exclusive rights to Criminal Minds and NCIS. These shows will follow Hawaii Five-0, which is now exclusively available on the CBS streaming platform and nowhere else.
Viewers, however, can still keep watching new episodes on its primetime schedule every Friday night on CBS.
