Apple still has another event reserved for later this month in which a redesigned MacBook Pro is rumored to make an appearance. The new notebook is expected to address all the problems of the current lineup that the Cupertino tech giant will discuss in an October event, which will also see the arrival of new iPad Pro models.

According to sources of DigiTimes (via MacRumors), Apple's Taiwanese manufacturing partner Qanta Computer has already began volume shipments of the 16-inch MacBook Pro. There are only a few more days before the end of October, suggesting that the company should announce a new product sooner than expected.

The new 16-inch MacBook Pro comes with changes that should delight fans of Apple's notebook line. The new shipments are expected to arrive with a better and more reliable keyword, which analyst Ming-Chi Kuo earlier this year referred to as the "scissor mechanism keyboard." Kuo believes that after the 16-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌ launches, future Macs coming in 2020 will also swap over to a scissor mechanism rather than a butterfly mechanism.

An image hidden in the latest macOS Catalina 10.15.1 beta that was uncovered by MacGeneration also hinted that potential buyers may be given two color options, depicted in both silver and space gray shades.

The same report says that the 16-inch MacBook Pro will feature an "ultra-thin bezel design" that will allow the bigger display to fit into a chassis of similar size to the 15-inch variant. That being said, fans are hoping that Apple will do something about the upcoming notebook's thermal design. It should make the event more exciting for fans of the company, especially those looking forward to a thinner MBP and experience raw performance in their notebooks.

We're still waiting for Intel to launch its 10nm Ice Lake chipsets for various partners, which brings us the implication that the 16-inch MBP could use the 9th generation Coffee Lake processors that can be configured up to a robust 8-core chip. Additionally, there are also reports that the new machine will come with a 96W USB-C charger.

Looking at all these welcome changes, and possibly more, it should be expected that the 16-inch MacBook Pro will cost a lot more than the 15-inch variant, starting at a whopping $3,000. Of course, pricing details are yet to be confirmed by Apple, as well as the expected launch of the new notebook itself, which for now should be taken with a grain of salt.

Due to all these changes, and potentially more, the 16-inch MacBook Pro is expected to cost more than its 15-inch counterpart, with one rumor stating that it could start from $3000. We'll still have to confirm the pricing details, and for that, we want you to stay tuned for future updates, which we'll deliver to our readers in a timely fashion.
