Sony Interactive Entertainment recently claims that the PlayStation 5 is the world's fastest console teasing that it is far faster and powerful than Microsoft's Xbox Scarlett. The latest declaration comes in the latest Sony job ad. The listing is specifically for a Senior Cloud Engineering Manager.

In a recent Sony job ad, the Japanese console maker mentions that it needs applicants that will be one of the leaders of an elite team that is extremely excited to launch the upcoming console in 2020. The description does not plainly state console but the world's fastest console, presumably the PlayStation 5. In the same job ad, Sony claims that it is the best place to work, so there may be nothing much about this but a mere marketing strategy.

However, the declaration is a bold one, especially for a job ad. To make things interesting, when the job ad gets featured in various sites, it appears that it has been modified. The entire line is now removed from the listing. However, the Internet has its own way of keeping a copy of everything.

It is possible that the job posting is nothing more than a PR campaign or probably Sony's attempt to make the job listing interesting to applicants. It may be nothing and could be something else. But, Sony, removing the bold declaration could be interpreted in various perspectives and the gaming industry at this point, could not help but speculate.

But, the idea that the PlayStation 5 could be the fastest gaming console in the world is not impossible and surprising. Various industry developers have confirmed and hinted about the power and speed of the PS5 and what it can offer to the gaming industry. For instance, Mark Cerny of SIE earlier confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will run on a custom variant of AMD Zen 2 CPU and will feature a solid-state drive.

IGN's Colin Moriarty previously shared that he heard that the PlayStation 5 is not only powerful than the Xbox Scarlett but more powerful. Sony Interactive President and CEO Jim Ryan already announced that the PlayStation 5 would arrive sometime in the holiday of 2020. Rumors also claim that Sony's generation gaming console will be launched in February in one of the company's special events for the PS5.

With its imminent release window drawing near, fans are excited to get their hands on the PlayStation 5. And surely, more leaks and speculations will surface between now and the anticipated release window of Sony's next-generation console.
