Based on earlier reports, it has been quite clear that "Diablo IV" is definitely coming. The most recent piece of evidence is the advertisement for a coffee table art book that surfaced in Gamestar, a German magazine. Recently, what seems to be a page from that artbook has offered some more details about the cast of characters in the upcoming game iteration from Blizzard.

The page from the coffee table art book was shared online via Twitter for the "World of Warcraft" Weak Auras IU framework. It reveals the lore and concept art for Lilith, the Succubus Queen, who was first introduced in "Diablo II" Battle.net exclusive Pandemonium Event and introduced in Patch 1.11 way back in Aug 2005. During that time, players have to gather three minor keys to fight the bosses that hold the major keys. These keys are used to open a portal to Uber Tristram, and one of the bosses was Lilith.

If the leaked page containing details about "Diablo IV" is accurate, it only means that Lilith is returning in "Diablo IV." Based on the text, her latest design is an example of Plussing. This is a term used by Art Director John Mueller to describe the process made by an artist in iterating on the design of each other while maintaining the elements that they want and including their very own flourishes. The leaked art book reveals a demon banner sigil and Lilith portrait made for "Diablo III," as well as a black and white concept drawing of the updated design of Lilith for "Diablo IV" made by John Polidora.

The latest version of Lilith, which presumably, will be seen in "Diablo IV," is a reimagining of the character that is significantly unique from her initial appearance. Mueller states that he has always liked this thing in any kind of IP. He adds that this stuff allows talented artists to design these things and make their own version of it. He further states that they are doing the same with a whole lot of characters in the new game.

Blizzard has not yet made any comment about the rumors and leaks about "Diablo IV." BlizzCon 2019 is just a few clicks away, and fans, which are eagerly waiting for any official announcements from the gaming studio, will soon know what Blizzard has in store for them. We have also heard several claims that "Overwatch 2" will be announced at this year's BlizzCon. Until then, take these details with a pinch of salt.
