Following N'Golo Kante's injury, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard gives fans the latest update on the health condition of the midfielder after missing the game last Wednesday. Kante was not around when Marcus Rashford made sure that Manchester United wins the west London side at the EFL Cup. Lampard also admitted that Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic need rest.

After pulling up before the Les Blues' match with Iceland, N'Golo Kante has been missing the international break. Frank Lampard appears confident that the French footballer will return working with the team this week but not as early as the next Premier League match of Chelsea against Watford on Saturday. According to the Chelsea manager, the 28 years old footballer might return in the next couple of days or three days.

Chelsea submitted to Manchester United's amazing 73rd-minute free-kick made by Marcus Rashford in London, where the team advanced to the quarter-finals. Earlier in the game, Michy Batshuayi canceled Rashford's 25th-minute penalty kick. Frank Lampard said that Chelsea had won seven games on the run and had taxing Champions League games, and the team intends to get into the next stage.

Frank Lampard also shared that he is satisfied with the performances of the younger players of Chelsea particularly Marc Guihe and Billy Gilmour. The Chelsea coach added that during the recent game he witnessed a lot that is good for the team in the future. He also shared that although he hates losing, there is a larger picture and bigger games ahead, and now the team has to focus on what's next.

The Chelsea coach also admitted that Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho need rest. Lampard was forced to let Jorginho and Kovacic play during the fourth round tie with Manchester United last Wednesday as the team suffers from a lot of injuries. Mateo Kovacic has appeared in all 13 Chelsea games, while Jorginho has been a crucial figure for the team this season. Frank Lampard plans to give both of them the night off in the League Cup, but he was forced because of the absence of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley.
